Academic Law Library Survey

The Annual Academic Law Library Survey provides a snapshot of the staffing, expenditure on acquisitions, subscriptions to databases and range of services provided in the academic year 2007/2008 by 89 university and college libraries in the UK and Ireland.  It is the only survey of its kind and provides data which academic librarians use to bench-mark their own services and law course validation bodies note when appraising the provision of institutions seeking to run law courses.

The report of the current survey will be published in the Autumn 2009 issue of Legal Information Management.

It is written by Peter Clinch, Senior Subject Librarian for Law – Law Library, Cardiff University.
