The function of the Committee is to advise the Council on strategic and financial issues concerning the Association and to execute Council policy and financial plans. It identifies key issues facing the Association and the legal information profession, advising on policies and determining objectives to deal with these issues.

The Committee met on 1 July at The College of Law. Minutes of the meeting are being prepared and will be added to the members area soon. In the meantime, we discussed:
- Updating committees Terms of Reference
- Additional funding for bursaries to attend non-BIALL events
- BWEB to change it's name to Web Committee
- Welcome or induction packs for each committee
- Communicating with members
- Committee plans for 2010-11
