Outline:
Risk assessment, quality assurance and quality standards are all terms we are familiar with nowadays. Indeed, many firms have signed up to the various quality standards which best apply to them.
In her talk Heather Semple will explore the practicalities involved in achieving and maintaining a quality standard. She will concentrate on the positives this process involves, and why it shouldn't necessarily be perceived as a time-consuming chore, but rather can be used to enhance the efficiencies of a service.
Heather will also look at how library and information professionals are particularly well placed within the workplace to drive and lead quality accreditation processes.
