Publications
The committee's function is to publish information of interest to the membership and to promote bibliographical study in legal materials. It does this by disseminating news and information through the BIALL Newsletter.
It does not publish the Legal Information Management, although arranges for other publications listed below and commissions occasional publications when appropriate.
Our publications
BIALL is directly responsible for a number of publications which are useful as sources of information, reference and of interest to the membership.
The Committee is responsible for the following publications:

- Directory of British and Irish Law Libraries
- History of BIALL 1969-1999
- Sources of Bibliographical Information on Past Lawyers

Publications News
MOYS Classification
The Publications Committee is looking at producing a new edition of Moys which was last published in 2001.
Diana Morris will be editing the 5th edition with the assistance of other volunteers. Diana was Librarian / Research Services Manager at Slaughter and May before retiring in December 2007. She was on the Editorial Board for the 3rd edition published in 1992.

To all Moys users please:
- Post a message to LIS-MOYS-USERS stating the areas you feel need revision or expansion;
- Look through your copy of the 4th edition to see what new numbers you have created and post them to the list for consideration; and
- Comment on the suggestions posted by others
