Award procedure

Nomination and adjudication processes

The Legal Journals Award is presented annually and the winners receive a certificate. The winning publisher may use the specially designed logo on their journal product and their web-site. The award is presented at the BIALL Annual Dinner which takes place at the Annual Conference. Nominations are invited in the spring of the award year through advertisements and via the BIALL website and e-mail list. Nominations are not accepted at other times.

The adjudication panel will consider criteria such as scope and coverage, authority, arrangement, presentation, currency, quality of indexing, originality and value for money.

The Award Committee, who adjudicate on the nominations, is composed of BIALL members representing many different sectors of the law library / legal information profession.
