BIALL Council

Officers have responsibility for the running of the Association between Council meetings. They take any decisions, which do not require approval of the Council, in consultation with other Officers, Council members, Standing Committees, etc. All Officers must be Personal Members.Council usually meets four times a year, normally in January, April, July and October. Standard items on the agenda for Council meetings include:

  • Reports from Officers 
  • Lists of new members 
  • Consideration of Conferences 
  • Approval of Chairs and membership of Standing Committees
  • Approval of the Nominations Committee 
  • Notification of Overseas Bursaries 
  • Approval of Conference Bursaries 
  • Consideration of Life membership 
  • Affiliation to other organisations
