With the advent of the social web and the impact of Web 2.0, there is an increasing emphasis on the sharing of information and interactivity with users. The 2009 Manchester Conference considered how these developing technologies and other issues are affecting the operation of libraries, legal information services, knowledge management and legal publishing. Users have an increased appetite for free and easily accessible resources. The conference will examine how this demand can be met while safeguarding legal information assets - from books to databases.The Conference took place at the newly constructed University Place Conference Centre in the Oxford Road area of Manchester.
