The Team

The Library team has an excellent reputation across the firm, recognised by being awarded the 2011 Halsbury’s Award for Best London Legal Information Service (Commercial Sector).  In addition to assisting with legal research, the team carries out a significant volume of business research and plays a key role in supporting the firm’s business development and pitches.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to join an existing team of six to support the research and resourcing needs of the firm’s London and international offices. This post will involve time spent in each of the main departmental libraries, so will offer an excellent opportunity to gain in-depth research experience across a broad spectrum of legal areas.

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for a candidate who will have

  • An undergraduate or master’s degree in library and information studies (or related discipline)
  • At least one year’s experience in a legal or business library
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong research skills and the ability to develop new knowledge and skills quickly

As the library staff are based in the legal practice groups, rather than in a central library, the successful candidate will need to be confident in engaging with people at all levels of seniority in the organisation.  The right candidate must also be willing to deal with a wide range of enquiries and tasks.
