MOJ Library and Information Service (jLIS)

jLIS has recently restructured and has exciting opportunity for an Assistant Librarian to join the team of 24. jLIS is split into two teams: Customer Services and Publications Supply, which are responsible for the delivery of specialist library and information services to the MoJ, Courts and Tribunals Judiciary, HMCTS, and other associated offices.

MoJ Assistant Librarian,    Customer Services Team - £24,007 – £28,000 per annum

This is a varied role, which includes answering enquiries, cataloguing and classification. In addition, you will be one of a team of four Assistant Librarians who have lead responsibility for key aspects of the Library’s service. The successful postholder will provide day-to-day support for the library’s digitisation project, co-ordinate the marketing of the library and line manage the MoJ library Assistant. Applicants should be aware that responsibilities are rotated roughly every two years.
