JOB DESCRIPTION
To work within the internal Knowledge Management team of a prestigious Central London Global Law Practice.
The team uses SharePoint 2010, knowhow systems and document automation systems in order to deliver knowledge services within the firm.
The role is to use a range of IT tools to develop and maintain the department's Knowledge systems, train users in the use of those solutions and participate in a variety of projects and other tasks.
It also involves:
Analysing requirements as part of the on-going development of the intranet and managing the delivery of the new functionality
Working closely with the IT development team to manage the delivery of solutions that require technical development work
Referring issues to suppliers (internal and external) as appropriate and communicating with suppliers to support resolution
Planning and co-ordinating testing of new releases
Providing management information and reporting on content development, usage and other site statistics
Designing and delivering training for individual lawyers or groups in using knowledge systems and other applications
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
An I.T. related qualification
May suit a developer who is looking to move into a more functional, business focused role
Experience of working on SharePoint intranet projects
Excellent skills and experience configuring and/or customising SharePoint 2010 solutions to meet specific requirements in an intranet context
Ideally Skills in SharePoint Designer and Microsoft InfoPath
Experience configuring and/or developing workflows in SharePoint 2010
Understanding of Managed Metadata and Content Types and their use in an intranet context
Excellent HTML/CSS
Ability to manipulate images using Photoshop and other image tools
Understanding of databases, especially Microsoft SQL Server
Professional approach and self-motivating.
A commitment to knowledge sharing and to customer service is vital.
