The City Law School delivers high quality academic and professional legal education at the heart of legal London. The School's postgraduate vocational programmes (the Bar Vocational Course and Legal Practice Course), are provided at the prestigious Gray's Inn Place site.

Following a restrucure, a new post of Law Librarian is required to contribute to the development and delivery of a law library service to vocational law students at the School under the leadership of the Head of Library Services, Gray's Inn Place.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the library's enquiry services and for the line management of a team of Service Assistants. You will contribute to the School's legal research teaching activities and make a significant contribution to the delivery of a high quality service to students within a demanding and competitive legal education environment.

You should be professionally qualified in a relevant area and have considerable experience of delivering a customer-focussed service, in either an academic library or resource centre or within a legal environment.

Some experience of using legal information resources and law library materials is essential but training will provided to develop the post-holder's knowledge and skills to meet the needs of the post.
