This newly created role in a Central London Law Practice. The role is to manage a small team and develop the Records Management services ensuring the Firm's record management is compliant with legislative and statutory requirements.

The role will involve implementing and managing new RM and e-filing systems plus implement, refine, and maintain the new RM policies and procedures.

Other duties are to manage the RM budget and third party supplier contracts and services plus develop and deliver appropriate training and communication to staff within the firm.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Candidates should have experience of implementing records management systems, policies and procedures for paper and electronic records.

A post-graduate qualification in records management is desirable

Experience of leading and developing a team

Experience in developing and implementing effective RM policies and procedures ideally in the legal field (or very similar)

Experience in promoting RM and providing training to RM staff and end users

Expertise in compliance is a prerequisite as is knowledge of RM and best practice and ability to apply it effectively

Strong people management and leadership skills

Effective written and oral communication skills

High degree of IT literacy

High level of proficiency of setting and managing budgets
